july right before i took off in early july, i recorded some stuff with jessica storck. mostly i recorded her doing her solo songs, but i also got her to sing some vocals on "another wall song"... that turned out great, and it'll show up somewhere soon. as a last-minute afterthought, we played through this dylan classic and recorded it. with the built-in laptop mic whirring away between us. i admit that this is an old recording. about two winters ago i heard jake armerding's song "ithaca" and my friend margaret was living in ithaca (NY), so i decided to send her a copy of the song. i added peter mulvey's song called "ithaca" (his version and redbird's). since i had just acquired my laptop audio software, i figured i'd try to record a version myself. it's clumsy, but there are things i like about it. unlike most songs i record, this is something i never played before or since. which is not a comment on this song. i'm a big peter mulvey fan. i'd play more of his songs more often if i felt i could do them proper.
